Carpet is carpet.  It doesn't matter where you buy it, everybody is
selling the same products.  Each store privately labels and renames
the carpet to make it hard to compare products from store to store.
With the exception of seconds and discontinued products,
I can get you any carpet you may have seen;  and at a
better price!
Carpet should be viewed like paint.  It is all the same, but how it is
applied is what makes the difference.  A shoddy paint job is a shoddy
paint job.  A good paint job is a good paint job.  The same is true with
carpet.  The end results are only as good as the installer who installs
it for you!!!  With the rare exception of a few guys like me,
all carpet being installed is being installed by sub-contractors with a
preference given to the lowest priced labor instead of quality of
workmanship!
Proving my point is the way the big companies are now advertising.
XXXXXXIVXXXXXX is now advertising they will install your whole
house for $44.00.  XXXX XXX is offering $15.00 for the install.  XXXX
XXXXX is $144.00 for the whole house.
They added about $1.00 a square foot to their prices for these sales!!
They are not saving you any money!!!
In fact, they end up charging you more for installation as there are so
many exclusions as to what a normal installation is!!!! Extra for stairs,
halls, etc.
Do you honestly think the 4 man crew who shows up at your house to
install your carpet is willing to work for $44.00 a day???

Carpet is being sold by commission sales people.  Sales people who
really don't know how carpet is installed.  With them, if you like it,
that's the product you need.  They are on commission.
The customer is always right is not always true.  I believe people need
and want guidance when it comes to floor coverings as this is not
something they regularly purchase!!  I will steer you right!!
There are many things to consider when buying carpet.  Pretty
perfectly patterned carpets don't look good on old crooked houses.
What might look fantastic in a new home might amplify the
crookedness in a home in German Village
.
I worked with the decorating department of Lazarus in the 80's.  I have
since been working for some of the best decorators in Columbus.  I
know what looks good and what doesn't.  I won't let you buy something
you will be unhappy with!
When you work with me, you work with me.  Not some commissioned
salesperson who just guesses at how much carpet you need.
It is me
from start to finish
.  I sell it, I install it, I make you happy!! No
surprises!!  You get what you want and what you were sold!!
My customers end up happy!!
Read my reviews.
One last thing, REMNANTS ARE NOT A BARGAIN!!  They are a
marketing tool to get consumers to buy too much carpet.  Remnant is
supposed to mean "left over", but in very rare cases is that true.  The
largest of the flooring stores here in Columbus cut pieces from their
big rolls, roll them up, stick a price for the "remnant" on them, and
stand them in their show rooms.  It is nothing but a marketing ploy to
get people who need 15 foot of carpet to buy 17 foot of carpet.
